Fall Sportsmanship Team Winners 2011-2012

Congratulations 

            MCPS presents Sportsmanship Awards in each varsity sport whose spectators and team personnel best exhibit sportsmanship over the course of the season. The award will be based on ratings conducted by officials, athletic directors, and school administrators. The following teams won recognition for the fall  2011-2012:

            Girls’ Soccer                            Coach Scott Hughes

            Golf                                          Coach Clarence Brown

            Corollary Track                        Coach Brandon Wilkins

            Girls’ Volleyball                        Coach Scott Zanni

            Football                                    Coach Shawn Prather

            Magruder finished tied for second place for the entire year which earned the school a $750.00 check from MCPS towards the athletic department. Let’s continue this tradition of excellent behavior and sportsmanship as we compete in the 2011-2012 athletic year.
